Hello Neighbors,
At approximately 3:39am this morning, many across Phoenix Town were woken up by a raucous clanging that seemed to come from all directions. Soon, all manner of Phoenix Town societies, groups, and task forces came together to search various areas in an effort to locate the source of the commotion.
Hours later, confirmation was delivered from both Neighborhood Watch and The Ghost of Harriet Tubman that the noise was not coming from anywhere in Phoenix Town at all. The Ghost of Harriet Tubman then took off to an undisclosed lookout point in [redacted], from which she identified that the noise was, in fact, coming from the once-famed liberty bell still swinging in Philadelphia, PA.
While whoever started the bell on its deafening tirade had long since taken off, some in Phoenix Town believe this to be the mischievous work of none other than Forrest Fiars, the widely celebrated resister who aided in The Fall through an array of vandalizations at previously significant historical sites. Since The Fall, little is known about Fiars’ whereabouts though it has been widely assumed that she remains somewhere in the wilds of the Post-american Ruins.
At the time of this publication, the noise has slowed to a quieting din and is expected to come to a complete and silent end before nightfall.
Neighborhood Watch | “You are but a climbing tendril…”
This week’s message from Neighborhood Watch was channeled by KD Rowe*
Ahead are many years of joy and undoing. Practice joy today so you may laugh tomorrow. Know yourself in joy. Know yourself in peace. Tomorrow thrives on your willingness to be curiously new and courageously myriad. Go slow, go slow. You are but a climbing tendril.
We love you. You are seen and sustained.

What would I do white?
What would I do clearly full
of not exactly beans nor
pearls my nose a manicure
my eyes a picture of your wall?
I would disturb the streets
by passing by, so pretty kids
on stolen petty cash would
look at me like foreign
writing in the sky
I would forget my furs on any chair.
I would ignore the doormen at the knob
the social sanskrit of my life
unwilling to disclose my cosmetology,
I would forget.
Over my wine I would acquire
I would inspire big returns to equity
the equity of capital I am
accustomed to accept
like wintertime.
I would do nothing.
That would be enough.
The Community Action - Take your time. Do everything with a deliberate slowness that lengthens each moment. Elongate your day with sheer unhurriedness. Be in a hurry for nothing. Stroll to the mailbox at a glacial pace, taking each step to recall the toxicity of haste. Be in a hurry for nothing. Previous capitalist ways of life offered nothing more than exploitation and death leaving little time for life and living. Be in a hurry for nothing. Remember that now is not before and you are now living in a constant state of reclaiming your time and in that reclamation, recover the full function of words like mosey, meander, saunter, amble, wander, drift, sashay, and loiter.
