Hello Neighbors,
We’re relieved to share that all newsletter recipients have successfully received our previous newsletter in the mail. Phoenix Town community members continue in their efforts to repair the aforementioned TelCom distribution method, and have made some exciting improvements. In the meantime, the CCC is thrilled to announce a new edition to our newsletter format and would like to introduce our new column, “Who’s Who in Phoenix Town” written by our new columnist, LaRon A. Pettyman:
Hey Neighbors,
I’m LaRon A. Pettyman, and I’m excited to be spearheading a new column for the networking majority who want to have the scoop on the Phoenix Town social scene. Each week, I’ll feature interesting facts about notable locals you should know. In our inaugural column, we’re starting with none other than Morgan Pleet.
Morgan Pleet is somewhat of a rising star on the culinary scene. The 27-year old, originally from the former city of Houston, Texas, has quickly emerged as a standout among her peers with her blend of traditional techniques and innovative flavors. Morgan is a recent graduate of the Phoenix Town Culinary Institute where she showed unusual promise in stews, casseroles, braises, and fricassees. She’s even earned the nickname, “Morgan the Scallion” for her signature garnish of scallions and chives.
Here in Phoenix Town, Morgan is the head coach of the local high school volleyball team. She is a frequent competitor in Phoenix Town’s “Too Damn Hot Annual Chili Cook-Off,” in which she continues to hold the title of First Prize winner, five years running.
I’m LaRon A. Pettyman with Who’s Who in Phoenix Town. Stay tuned and stay up.

Lord,
when you send the rain
think about it, please,
a little?
Do
not get carried away
by the sound of falling water,
the marvelous light
on the falling water.
I
am beneath that water.
It falls with great force
and the light
Blinds
me to the light.
This Week’s Community Action - Okay, don’t like freak out or anything but turn around very slowly and you’ll see it. But you CAN’T freak out. Promise?
